Tanner (15) is my nephew. He hangs out here quite a bit on weekends or school breaks. I'm thinking it's because I stock my pantry with way too much junk food, but hey, that's just a guess.
So this morning I woke up to Wolfy (nickname for my 3 year old son) yelling from his room, "Tanner?! TANNER?! I'm UhWAKE!! Steve Nash? STEVE MASH??! I'm uhWAKE!!"
. . . so I go into his room and Wolfy is wide eyed and says, "Oh hi MoooOOm, is Tanner still here? Tanner is STEVE NASH, he's STEVE NASH but it's ok MOM cuz I'm KOBESHAQ! Ok Mom? I gotta find SteveMash!"
Wolfy has the deepest yet most sing-songy voice and he is so entertaining (and delicious) the way he explains the things that he thinks and cares about. He adores hanging out with his older brother and big cousins.
But really, how cool is it that my little dude wakes up in the morning calling out for his cousin Tanner cuz he can't wait to talk to him some more about Steve Nash and KobeShaq!? Even more, it's pretty freakin awesome that a teenage Tanner spends enought time indulging and educating a 3 year old little Wolf about the NBA to the point that Wolf wakes up in the morning wanting to spend more time with STEVEMASH.
I love you SteveMash! Seriously, You ROCK.
